 Welcome to my web site. I'm John Ronald Dennis, actor, dancer and choreographer working and residing in Los Angeles.
I began my career as a dancer with the Borovansky Ballet Company in my native Australia. From there I went to Canada in 1949, where I served as Principal Dancer with the British Columbia Ballet Company, acted and danced with Theatre Under the Stars (both in Vancouver), performed on Canada's very first TV weekly musical variety show, "Running Wild" and choreographed and danced with The Footnotes (the first song and dance trio on Canadian television).
Onto New York for the 3 December 1960 opening of the original Broadway company of "Camelot". Choreographed, acted and directed in two La Mama Off Broadway shows; "I'm Not The Eiffle Tower" and "Recess." Also choreographed our U. S. Figure Skating Champion, John Misha Petkevich's routine for the 1972 Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo, Japan.
I came to L.A. in 1975, and after spending several years being slave to a huge “fixer-upper”, sold the house and returned to my first love, performing. Leads in four AFI films followed, the cable TV series Crow Hollow, a dance feature in Schwarzenegger’s True Lies, several TV commercials and what I consider to be the highlight of his show-biz return, working with the Blank Theatre Co. With the company almost since its inception, I have been privileged to have appeared in twenty-three plays and play-readings.
