About

I began my career at age four in Melbourne, Australia dancing Scottish and Irish reels with a local dance company. I served in the Royal Australian Air force during World War II, attached to the first all Australian B-24 Liberator squadron in the Northern Territory, until the War's end.

I began studying ballet at the Borovansky studios in Melbourne and shortly thereafter, Madame and Monsieur invited me to join their world famous ballet company. In 1949 my talents then took me to Vancouver B.C. Canada where Mara McBirney invited me to be Principal Dancer of the British Columbia Ballet Company. In 1956 I acted and danced with "Theatre Under The Stars" summer theatre (a mini Hollywood Bowl in their famous Stanley Park) where I met and became best friends with Robert Goulet. I was also on Canada's first TV weekly musical variety show "Running Wild". I went on to Toronto with Bobby Goulet where I did numerous TV shows, plays, night clubs, and had the first song and dance trio on Canadian television; "The Footnotes" with Norman Maen and Joy Dunning.

1960 Took me to Broadway, New York, with the original cast of the legendary musical "Camelot". During this period I studied with the brilliant Uta Hagen at the H.B. Studios. At the Off-Broadway La Mama Theatre I acted and choreographed in "I Am Not The Eiffel Tower" and "Recess". The latter made a very successful transfer to "The Big Screen" winning both the Atlanta and Edinburgh Film Festivals. During all of this I was invited to choreograph the Spanish routine for our U.S. Figure Skating Champion John Misha Petkevich to skate in the 1972 Winter Olympic Games in Sapporo, Japan. So, I was commuting back and forth from New York to Boston to work with Misha and his coach, Arthur Burke. An amazing experience I shall never ever forget.

I came to Los Angeles in 1975 and after spending several years of being a slave to my very first house, a huge "Fixer-upper" on a half acre of land in the Valley, I sold it and returned to my first love, performing. Leads in four A.F.I. films followed. A cable TV series "Crow Hollow" playing Dr. Lionel Thayer, dancing in Schwarzenegger's "True Lies", several TV commercials and what I regard as the highlight of my "show-biz" return, working with the Blank Theatre Company. Having been with the BTC almost since its inception, Daniel Henning invited me to appear in their inaugural production in their new '2nd Stage Theatre' as Dillwyn Knox in "Breaking The Code" starring Dennis Christopher as Alan Turing."Breaking The Code" went from a six week run to a four month SRO run receiving rave reviews and winning every theatre award given out in Los Angeles. I told Mr. Henning after my initial audition and upon being accepted into his company: "For the first time in Los Angeles I feel like I'm back working in a New York production." I finally felt right at home and extremely honored to be a part of such genius and creativity and why I've just recently performed in my 20th play with the BTC.

A few of my TV appearances have been as the lead dancer (Justin Timberlake) in a take-off on the 'N Sync Boys doing their "Bye, Bye, Bye" number which was the opening number and a show-stopper for the 2000 Teen Choice Awards show on Fox TV; then again in their 2007 opening number doing "The 50th Reunion of The High School Musical"; the very short lived series "Viva Las Vegas"; and the Disney movie "Country Bears."

I was cast in an independent feature movie, "Engaging Peter" that was completely improvised (a first for me) and my role as the "Priest" brought rave notices especially on the director's commentary track on the the DVD. Most recently, I was in another Indy film production "Yesterday Was A Lie", a black and white sci-fi 'film noir', which has won every award at each of the festivals where it's been entered with still many more festival screenings to come. I've also done three stage plays with this amazingly talented young director, writer, producer, James Kerwin, and I would be honored to work with him at any time and in anything in the future.

So, keep logging on and we'll keep you updated dear hearts.
